Our Founder & Backstory
After getting a Chemical Engineering degree from Michigan Tech in 2010,
Wayne found work in Portland, Oregon.
Doing industrial water chemistry for Intel and power plants across the Pacific Northwest.
In 2015, Wayne moved from water chemistry to cannabis chemistry,
starting with edibles in the Oregon Medical Market.
Edibles had a long way to go from the "classic brownie" people were used to consuming.
Wayne used his chemistry and engineering background to craft a modern edible,
an edible focused on the new science and specific effects.
Not just an edible that "gets you super high man" :)
After two years in the medical market,
Periodic Edibles was awarded an Adult Use License in 2017,
and became the "#1 Selling Infused Caramel" in Oregon in 2019.
We started making all of our edibles with Craft Hemp CBD,
keeping the same science and effects focus we've been developing since 2015,
now shipping around the country, delivered right to your door.
Our Process
In 2015 we started making effects-focused edibles using the scientific method, with the cannabinoids and terpenes listed on the label, giving you control over your experience with consistent effects.
We slow simmer craft hemp in butter to create a Full-Spectrum Hemp-Butter infusion that goes into our caramel recipes. Using the original formula we started developing in 2015.
This simple infusion method preserves the beneficial compounds called Cannabinoids [CBD, CBN, THC, etc.] & Terpenes [Myrcene, Linalool, Limonene, etc.] found in the craft hemp we source from local hemp farmers.
Jim Belushi recorded a podcast episode with us.
We talked cannabis, quality, and how this plant is helping so many people.
